Ian M.F. Gianetti '57 of Leverett House and Trinidad, B.W.I., was elected captain of the 1957 varsity tennis team at the team's annual dinner Monday evening. Gianetti played fourth doubles with Steve Kay and the two were undefeated in Eastern League play. Gianetti was used in singles matches against Army and Cornell and was also undefeated in this category.
Members of the varsity lightweight crew yesterday elected Richard L. Timpson '57 of Rhinebeck, N.Y., and Dunster House, captain for the 1957 season.
Timpson, who rowed number three oar this season, is a graduate of Eton.
