In Major League Baseball last night, the Cincinnati Redlegs defeated the world-champion Brooklyn Dodgers 3 to 1. In other games, the Cleveland Indians nosed out the Washington Senators 3 to 2, and the Baltimore Orioles did the same to the Chicago White Sox.
Other winners were Pittsburgh over St. Louis, and Milwaukee over Philadelphia, both in the National League.
