Freshman Sports

The hapless Yardling lacrosse will this afternoon play host to Nichols Junior College and the spirit if not the result will be in sharp opposition of the Laws of Hospitality so revered by the Greeks of the Goldern Age. The attempted sacrilege is scheduled to begin at 3 p.m. on the Business School mire.

Winless after many starts and sensitive after many sound drubbings, among them a 16-2 peaen to Exeter and a 9-5 libation at Andover, the jaded freshmen should be most inhospitable.

Little is known or the flavor of the Nichols squad.

The Yardling 'B' team had an easy time of it yesterday afternoon as they stumbled through a 19-8 win over New Prep. Bill Brannan and Chuck sailstad pitched, while Dave Fairburn formed the other half of the battery. The Yardling 'A's' oppose two more tough teams at the end of the week when they take on B.U. on Friday and Dartmouth on Saturday.

An undefeated but incomplete freshman tennis team will face Dartmouth at Hanover this afternoon since Charlie Hamm and Bob Repetto, number two and five men respectively, will be absent.

Captain Jim Cameron will lead off in the singles matches, followed by Ned Weld, Bill Wood, John Tamerin, and Laurie Pratt. Either Tim Haskins or Pete Lund will play in sixth place.
