The Crimson rugby team will make a fourth attempt at opening its spring season today with a match against the Barbarians Rugby Club of Montreal at 2:30 p.m. on Cambridge Field, next to the Stadium. Three previous attempts to open the season have brought varying quantities of snow.
Despite a 9-0 loss to the Montreal team in Canada last spring, Crimson improvement plus the home field rate the team a slight favorite in today's game.
With a pack of forwards who are mostly veterans from the '55 team, interest in the Crimson side will focus on the three-quarter line, where footballers Jim Joslin and Ron Eikenberry are making their debut.
