The Freshman "B" League squash team dropped its final match of the year to the Harvard Club of Boston, 4 to 1, yesterday. This loss eliminated the Yardlings from the race for the League championship.
At first singles, Pete Lund took the freshmen's only match by a close 3-2 score. Lund dropped the first two games but rallied in the third and eventually pulled the match out. Fred Byron, at the second position, exactly reversed Lund's performance. He won his first two games, 15-12 but proceeded to drop the next three, 15-12, 15-11, 15-10.
In the third slot, Kent Allen lost a 3-2 encounter, in one of the day's closest matches, and number four man, Ed Wadsworth lost in straight games.
