Former Harvard athlete Representative Torbert H. Macdonald '40 (D-Mass.) filed his bill yesterday proposing federal aid for Olympic athletes.
Macdonald said, "I got a good reaction from the bill and I think I can do something with it." He added, "Even though I only put the bill in today, people have already sent me letters and telegrams of commendation." As a student here, Macdonald was captain of the football team and a nine-letter man.
