ITHACA, Feb. 18--The fencing team lost to Cornell, 18 to 9, as the helpless epee team failed to win a bout.
Foil and the sabre team had compiled an even record between them, although epee collapsed.
Dave Silbert contributed three victories in sabre as that squad division won 5-4. Cliff Thompson won two in foil, but Cornell topped that group 5-4.
The next meet will be against Penn, Saturday, at the I.A.B.
