The Crimson fencers meet a favored Cornell team today in Ithaca.
An upset for the varsity hinges on the performance of the erratic epee team. In Wednesday's defeat of M.I.T. the epee won 6 to 3, but previously it had collapsed against Princeton.
Foil and sabre have performed consistently well this season and their occasional losses have not rivalled the epee defeats.
Hubert Hocutt, Cliff Thompson, Captain Steve Schneider, and Pete Boyce lead the foil entry. Four sophomores, Doug Runnels, Dave Silbert, Mitchell Thomas, and Art Steinberg will fence in sabre. Leading the epee division are Bill Pierskalla, John Livingston, John Craig, and Bill Chapple.
