Lane and St. Clair Will Discuss Law

Joseph D. St. Clair, Assistant Counsel to Joseph N. Welch in the Army-McCarthy hearings, and Samuel M. Lane '31, former assistant to the U.S. Attorney General, will speak tonight on "Law," in the first of the 1956 Conferences on Careers.

Louis A. Toepfer, assistant dean to the Faculty of Law will moderate a question period following the two speeches. The conference will be held in the Leverett House Dining Hall at 8 p.m.

In 1954, Lane was appointed Executive Director and General Counsel to the N.Y. Waterfront Commission. At present, he is a partner in the New York firm of Casey, Lane, and Mittendorf.

St. Clair was a winner in the Ames competition in 1946 while a student at the Law School.
