Four of the five pre-season standouts for Dudley are sophomores, with back Al Lubetkin, who starred for Winthrop last year, the outstanding upperclassman. The new men are Dave McPhelim and Pete Franchi in the backfield, and Don Tank and Paul Hines in the line. Average weight of the Commuters' line is 175.

Opposing Dudley's untried line will be Leverett's veteran 180-pound line, led by Carl Packer, Dave Nourse, and Charles Janning. Leverett's backfield is composed entirely of sophomores, who are "pretty good," according to one House spokesman.
