Curtis Hits Charge Of GOP Favoritism

Democratic accusations that the Republican Party favors big business are as bad as Republican accusations that the Democratic Party is "soft on communism," Representative Laurence Curtis told the Harvard Eisenhower Club last night.

As the newly-formed club's first speaker of the year, Curtis went on to say that helping big business helps the nation by providing more jobs and higher wages. He hailed the Eisenhower Administration for stabilizing the value of the dollar.

Curtis, who is running for re-election from the tenth district, claimed that Eisenhower "looks and acts like a healthy person."

Although he praised Dulles' foreign policy, Curtis felt the Administration's handling of the Suez crisis "may be motivated partly because it does not want any eruptions before Nov. 6."
