The varsity went through its last heavy drill before Saturday's game with Columbia yesterday at Soldiers Field. Passing received the most emphasis in the drill, with both quarterbacks, Matt Botsford and John Simourian, doing most of the throwing.
Coach Lloyd Jordan said that Ron Eikenberry would definitely start in place of Jim Joslin at right halfback. Otherwise the lineup will be the same as that which started against Cornell last week. Joslin worked out lightly yesterday in sweat clothes, but did no contact work.
Jordan also tested various men on kick-off and points after touchdown. Scoring is below .500 in extra points.
