Winthrop shut out Lowell, 34 to 0, while Eliot downed Dunster, 21 to 7, in their first Interhouse touch football league games on Thursday.
The Puritans carried on a strong running attack, with Paul London making the longest run. London sprinted 60 yards in the third quarter, enabling Ted Streder to score on the next play.
Other Winthrop touchdowns were scored by Owen Todd and Ed Fogarty in the first quarter, London in the second, and Fogarty again in the fourth. John Baldwin made two conversions, while King, Holmes and Fogarty each made one. The undermanned Lowell squad was unable to make any headway throughout the game.
Eliot Victory
Eliot gained its first touchdown on an end run by Dave Holmes, while Bud Saylor converted. The team's two other touchdowns were scored in the second and third quarters by passes from Mac Hyde to Pete Beak.
