The football eleven concentrated on defensive play yesterday, working alternately against the junior varsity and the freshmen.
Coach Lloyd Jordan was mildly impressed with the team's improvement in blocking. "We're hitting harder," he said, "although not hard enough yet." He also said that he expected injured end Tom Hooper to return to action for the Cornell game.
