A Maid's Return

In last Thursday's article on the history of maids at the College, the following sentence, based on a Nov. 26, 1952, CRIMSON report of a contest for each House's favorite maid, appeared: "Mrs. Walsh from Lowell was chosen because, among other things, she built bookshelves and 'never took the boys' liquor without asking first'."

Our researcher failed to note that this statement was completely retracted, in the CRIMSON of Nov. 28, 1952, by the three Lowell students. The CRIMSON regrets reprinting the false description of Mrs. Walsh, and adds that the corrected entry read: "It was a great pleasure to know Mrs. Walsh."
