The Student Council last night elected Edward M. Abramson '57, of Lowell House and New Rochelle, N.Y., president for the next two somestors.

Abramson defeated Merom Brachman '58, of Lowell House and Fort Worth, Texas, who was elected vice-president.

Albert F. Hofeld, Jr. '58, of Dunster House and Evanston, Ill., will serve as treasurer, and Paul L. Scher '57, of Dunster House and Glencoe, Ill., will be secretary.

The new slate will take office next month and will serve throughout 1956.

Albert B. Levin '56, outgoing president, congratulated the new executives and wished them "the satisfaction and inspiration" that he "had received from working with the group these past four months."

Levin took office last September after Richard L. Dodds '56 was forced to resign because of illness. Dodds had replaced John Green '56, who dropped the position because of difficulties in schedule.

The Council last night also approved unanimously the constitutions of the Harvard Pre-Law Society, and the Students for Kefauver Club.
