The Combined Charities drive this year collected a total of $13,671.42 from the College, the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences, and the Law School, an increase of $1,775.22 over last year's figure.

Although 61 percent of the College contributed this year as compared with 54.8 percent in 1954, this year's drive actually collected less undergraduate money. The larger total was due to funds that the Combined Charities committee collected directly from the graduate schools, which had formerly contributed to separate drives.

The Phillips Brooks House Association, Red Feather, Student Jewish Appeal, National Scholarship Service and Fund for Negro Students, and the American Friends Service Committee, in that order, received the largest shares of allocated funds.

The Yard led in undergraduate contribution, with 74 percent of its residents donating. Eliot with 62 percent, and Dunster and Winthrop with 60 percent were next highest.
