Phil Herrera lost, 3 to 4, to Jim Simmondts, Tech captain. Jack Graef (130) beat Mike Holmes, 3 to 1, and Len Miller was shut out by Tom Callahan, 3 to 0. Bill Miller (157) was also blanked, 7 to 0, by Join Hirschi.
But experience provided the five point margin us Dave Jordan (137) got his pin in 8:08, after missing it several times, and Bob Gilmor (167) decision Harold Becker, 7 to 2. Bob Wynne (unlimited) beat Tony Vertin 8 to 0, and Captain Ken Culbert (177) pinned Mike Brenner.
The regular freshman lineup took only a single defeat, rolling over a Tech squad, 24 to 3, with two pins, three decisions, and two forfeits.
Ken Pruett (167) won by default when Tech's Erickson injured his side, and Jim Busch (unlimited) met no opposition. Fred Kullman (137) and Charlie Eaton (177) pinned, while Luke Marbury (147), Joe Goodman (157), and Tom Myers (123) took decisions.
