Senior Tutor Bans Red Light Activity

Despite the petition of 56 protesting Funsters, the red light district of Dunster House was still shrouded in blackness last night. The light emanating from G-42 was removed by order of the House hierarchy in November.

In response to complaints from a member of the House staff, Carroll F. Miles, senior tutor of Dunster, wrote owner Roger M. Christenfeld '57 that "no matter how much it may do for the interior of your room, it does not particularly enhance the exterior of the House."

The petitioners responded that "the moral connotations of the light are entirely subjective and its happy roseate tone is in keeping with the spirit of the House," but at last report colored lighting was still available only from the Christmas lights in Central Square.
