The annual Red Cross fall blood drive ended yesterday afternoon with a total collection of 887 pints, the chairman of the drive announced last night. Donations fell short both of the 1000 pint goal and of last year's 1066 pint collection.
Undergraduates contributed 606 pints in this year's drive. Graduate students were second with 109 pints, while Radcliffe gave 95. The remainder was donated by the faculty, the Episcopal Theological School and other groups.
Although this year's donations were considerably below those of last fall, Miss Lillian Grace, director of the drive, said that the results were not so bad as figures indicated. She pointed out that seventy percent of those pledged actually contributed in this year's drive, while last year only 50 percent showed up.
