Winthrop House maintained its leadership in intramural football yesterday by defeating Kirkland, 12 to 6. In the second game of the afternoon Adams blanked Eliot, 20 to 0.
Two long runs off left tackle by left halfback Al Lubtekin accounted for both Winthrop touchdowns. The lone Kirkland score came on a 70 yard kick-off return.
Adams scored its touchdowns on a five yard quarterback sneak by Bill Redonsky, a 50 yard end run by Frank Weller, and a drive by Rudy Schelmatnsky from 15 yards out.
