Crimson guard and former captain Bill Meigs disclosed yesterday that he hopes to be drafted for professional football.

Already elected to numerous all-opponent teams as well as the Associated Press all-Ivy and the United Press all-New England squads, Meigs said he would like to play pro ball for a West Coast team, if possible. The senior revealed that he had been contacted by almost all the professional teams.

The 205-pound Crimson player, now in the infirmary recovering from a case of flu, did not know whether he would be considered big enough to play professional ball, since many of the players weigh much more than 200 pounds. He said the clubs might pick him as offensive guard or defensive linebacker.

The National Football League will begin the first three rounds of drafting college players tomorrow morning. Green Bay, Pittsburgh, or the Chicago Cardinals will get the first pick of any college football star. The remaining 27 rounds of the draft will be held next January.

The draft will be held in New York City.

The first choices will probably be either "Hopalong" Cassidy of Ohio State, Michigan State quarterback Earl Morrall, or Maryland center Bob Pellegrini.
