Almost a third of the contributions to the Combined Charities Drive have been ear-marked for Phillips Brooks House, Paul Gabriel '56, treasurer of the drive, reported last night.
However, the drive is running $400 short of the $7000 collected by the end of three days last year. Eliot House is still leading the College with donations of over $1000, but Adams and Lowell are close behind. Adams has already passed its total for last year, Gabriel added. A quarter of the freshman class has given over $300, but it is running behind its previous total. Dudley has contributed $50 in addition to gifts from individual students.
The goal for this year's drive is $17,500 from the entire University, which the committee is confident it can reach.
