An undefeated Crimson cross country team will challenge today what could be its toughest opposition so far this year. The squad will oppose Columbia and Pennsylvania on the van Cropland Park course in New York.
Prospects are darkened in the triangular event by the absence of five top men. Art Wills and Dick Wharton will possibly be out with colds, Phil Williams with a cold and sore calf, Jim Cairns with a thigh injury, and Dave McLean with a strained foot. Coach McCurdy is pinning his hopes on Captain Don French, Pete Reider, Dave Norris, Ralph Perry, and Ken Wilson.
Columbia should not present the Crimson with a serious challenge. The Lions last week lost by a large score to Yale and Dartmouth in a triangular meet. Pennsylvania, however, is an unknown factor in today's race, since it is the Quaker's first meet this year.
