Crimson Ten Tops Weak Trinity 12-5

The varsity lacrosse team topped Trinity 12 to 5 yesterday at Hartford to go into Saturday's Yale game at New Haven with an undefeated record against New England competition.

Trinity jumped to an early two-goal lead, but the Crimson countered with four goals before the end of the first period and never again lost the lead. Phil Waring led the attack with four goals and an assist. Monk Aiella scored three times and assisted twice. Chuck Edwards, midfielder in the second line, had his best day of the season, scoring two goals and assisting Waring on another. John Lane, Ed Curtis, and Fuzzy Stuart each scored once to complete the scoring.

For Trinity, Pete Carlough, with two goals, and George Lunt, with a goal and two assists, were the big offensive threats.

The freshmen, meanwhile, upset previously undefeated Governor Dummer Academy, 7 to 6.
