The Student Council will interview applicants at Phillips Brooks House this week for what may be its last grants-in-aid program, Irving K. Zola '56 announced yesterday.
Zola last week was appointed chairman of a committee to study the Council's system, of aiding needy students, and to consider transferring the fund allocation function to the Financial Aid Center.
Financial support for this spring's grants will come from a Council fund of approximately $800. The individual gifts will vary from 15 to 50 dollars, and will probably consume all the available money.
In choosing the recipients of the grants, the Council considers financial aid as the only criterion. The applicant must, however, be a student in good standing.
