The Yardling rifie team opened its season yesterday by outshooting Walthem High School, 865 to 847, in a match fired on the College range.
High scorer for the Crimson was Ronny Grimm, who shot rounds of 97 and 87 for a total of 184. Behind Grimm came Dick Lipman with 177 points, Jim Smith with 170, Bob Miller with 168, and Paul Wheeler with 166.
Next match for the Yardlings, who before yesterday had defeated the M.I.T. freshmen in a practice encounter, will be fired May 7 against Newton High.
