Sophomores, Juniors to Elect Six To Student Council Today; 18 Run

Sophomores and juniors will elect six men an class representative to the Student Council today. Tea sophomores and eight junior, including five incumbents, are competing for positions.

The '57 candidates include three incumbents running for re-election. They are Paul L. Scher of Dunster, Bill Shane of Adams, and Allen William of Kirkland. Other sophomore candidates are: Ed Abramson of Lowell, Jerry D. Goldberg of Lowell, Herbest Gross of Eliot, John Jaspers of Adams, Richard Pfaff of Eliot, John B. Res of Dunster, and Baruch Schmidt of Adams.

The present class representatives are among the eight candidates in the junior class election. They are Newell Mach of Adams, present Council treasurer, and Bred Stark of Dunster. Opening them will be Charles Boston of Dunster, Dick Dedds of Kirkland, Calvin Gross of Lowell, Broce G. Mertin of Dunster, Edward M. Streaser of Kirkland and Kenneth G. Swan of Kirkland.

Despite the total of 18 candidates, three Houses, Dudley, Leverett, and Winthrop, will not be represented on the ballot.

Dunster House has the greatest number of candidates with three juniors and two sophomores. Kirkland and Adams both have four candidates, while there are three from Lowell House and two from Eliot.
