Houses Begin Xmas Celebrations Tonight; Will Feature Dinners

The annual round of House Christmas celebrations begins tonight. Before vacation, all seven Houses will present plays and dinners to usher in the holidays.

Adams House will have the House Christmas dinner tonight, followed by carol singing under the direction of Prefessor G. Wallace Woodworth '24. A presentation of Shaw's "Androcles and the Lion" and a concert by the Adams House Glee Club will be followed by an informal dance.

Winthrop will also have its Christmas dinner tonight, preceding the House play, "The Drunkard."

Leverett House will present its play, "The Virtuoso" tonight, which will be followed by a buffet supper and a dance.

The Dunster House play, "Love Rides the Rails," will be presented Saturday night, with a formal dance afterwards.

Both Lowell and Eliot have planned festivities for Monday night. The Lowell dinner will be followed by the traditional lighting of the Yule log by Housemaster Elliott Perkins '23. The Lowell play, "The London Merchants," will follow carol singing. The Eliot House dinner will precede the House play, "The What D'yecallit," and carol singing.

Kirkland House will present "Tom Thumb the Great" on Monday and Tuesday nights. Monday night, the Christmas dinner will precede the play, and on Tuesday, the play will be followed by a dance.
