Yale game tickets reportedly sold for as much as $25 at one Boston ticket agency last night. Requests were still coming in when the bureau closed.
In Cambridge, however, lines formed in vain outside the H.A.A. ticket office waiting for possible seats. Undergraduate tickets brought over $15 apiece on Mt. Auburn St., with some reselling transacted via House bulletin boards and local clothing stores.
Two other ticket agencies, Tysons and Herrick, denied they had charged higher than list price. Ernest Brown of the Hub reported last night that he procured most of his tickets through bellhops buying from Yale students.
Some local clothiers also denied that they had trafficked in tickets. The Gold Coast Valertia had "no comment" when asked about selling. Several other stores reported hearing student talk of exorbitant prices, but said they had not handled any tickets themselves.
