A revised and reshuffled varsity wrestling team faces Brown tomorrow afternoon in the most crucial match for the Crimson this season. Over the past week the varsity has undergone a strategic change in its lineup and looks to tomorrow's meet as its testing ground.
The varsity match is scheduled for 3:30 p.m. in the Indoor Athletic Building. The freshman match gets under way at 2 p.m.
The week's lineup switches were the first major ones so far this season. In an effort to strengthen the middleweights, Coach Bob Pickett has dropped Captain Chick Chandler from the 167 to the 157 pound class. Senior Tony Caimi, who beat Ken Miller in a test match yesterday afternoon, has moved into the 167 slot for Chandler.
Keating at 128 Pounds
The other change in the lineup will be Ed Keating in place of Don Fern in the 123 pound class. Otherwise, the team remains the same as the one which beat Tufts, 33-5, before Christmas.
Dick Adams, so far undefeated this season, will wrestle at 130 and Phil Burnaman will be at 137. Frank Baker holds down the 147-pound position.
Brown comes to Cambridge after splitting its first two meets, losing the second, 23 to 3, to Columbia. Pickett calls it virtually the same team as the one which tied Harvard last year. "But we're stronger," he adds.
The Crimson freshmen are so far undefeated.
