Although the varsity sextet has played only one game in the pentagonal hockey league, it holds first place in the league standings. Because it is the only undefeated team among the five, it is ranked ahead of Brown, Yale, and Dartmouth, each of whom has split its two games. In the cellar of the league is Princeton, which lost its only game.
In league scoring totals, however, the varsity does not fare so well, as it has no representatives among the eight top scorers. Only Brown and Dartmouth are represented.
Top scorers are Brown's Danny Keefe and Dartmouth's Dan McCarthy, each with three goals and two assists for five points. Keefe is defending champion in league scoring since he tied for high scorer last year, his sophomore year. McCarthy was held scoreless as the varsity shut out the Green, 4-0, for its win.
Brown leads the league in team scoring with ten goals, while Dartmouth, which whipped Princeton, 9 to 0, is second. The varsity trails Yale, which has five goals.
