The varsity squash team yesterday took a sound beating from the Union Boat Club, 5-0, at the winner's courts, yesterday.
Paced by its star, Roger Bakey, the Boat Club won two of the matches at love. Bakey, though, was forced to five games by the Crimson's first man, Haddon Tomes.
The results of the other matches were: Henry Foster over Larry Brownell, 3-0; Harold Kaese over Bill Wister, 3-2; Mike Ward over George Pendergast, 3-0; and Neil Powell over John Rauh, 3-2.
In matches today, both varsity teams, the Reds and the Whites, will swing into action, and the freshman B team will play M.I.T. away.
