Princeton's tennis team sports a 42 game winning streak as it takes on the trice beaten varsity today at 3 p.m. at Nassau.

The match marks the Crimson's second major encounter within three days. But its 6 to 3 loss to North Carolina Wednesday may be just what the varsity needed to inspire an upset today.

Before the Crimson returns home next Monday night it will also have taken on underdogs Columbia and Penn. The varsity meets the Lions on Saturday and Penn on Monday. If the play goes according to script the team should return with an 11 and 4 record.

The Tar Heels gave Jack Barnaby's team-winner of ten straight easy matches-some badly needed practice against top competition. That practice should come in handy against the Eastern Intercollegiate champions.

Not since 1935 has the Crimson beaten Princeton in tennis. Chances for a break in the Tiger predominance appear none too bright.

Long-time Nassau stars Gill Bogley and Chuck DeVoe were graduated last spring, but Pabil Eisenberg and Ted Rogers, both former junior standouts, rate above the Crimson's best. Rogers at two is anex-national junior champion.

Johnny Rauth takes on Eisenberg and Captain Charlie Ufford meets Rogers. Art French is at three, Alex Hoagier at four, Gene Mann at five, and Don Bossart at six.

Against the Tar Heels the Crimson showed the effects of New England's record rain fall this year. North Carolina had played too much tennis, but Princeton has been in much the same weather position as the varsity.

The Tigers' coach, John Conroy, has consistently echoed the moans of Barnaby about having no courts to practice on.
