Eliot House swimmers lost a 31-17 decision to Timothy Dwight College, Yale's intramural swimming champion, in their contest at the I.A.B. Saturday.
The Elephants won two of the six events and lost their chance to tie in the final contest of the day, the 200 free-style relay, which Yale won by a body length.
Tim Whelan of Eliot won first place in the 50 yard free-style in 25.3 seconds and captured second in the 100. Teammates Claud Hooten and Fred Weymar finished first and second in the 50 yard breast-stroke. Bill Roosevelt completed Eliot's scoring by placing third in the 50 yard backstroke.
