House finals and play-offs will be held this week. They will determine which teams play against Yale on Saturday when the Crimson will compete with Yale in boxing, basketball, swimming, and squash.
Tonight the boxing finals will be held at 8:30 p.m. in the Indoor Athletic Building. The scheduled bouts include: Eduardo Lichauco, Kirkland, vs. Eugene Mann, Kirkland, in the 125b, class; Norm Wyner, Winthrop, vs. Frank Dewar, Dudloy, in the 145 1b.; Ray Daley, Winthrop, vs. George Humphrey, Kirkland, in the 155 1b.; and Nick Culolias, Dudley, vs. Frank Yoffe, Dudley, in the unlimited.
In squash, Kirkland defeated Leverett, 4 to 1, to lead the House League by three matches. Adams defeated Lowell, 5 to 0, and Eliot topped Winthrop, 3 to 2. Kirkland will play Adams on Wednesday, when Eliot meets Dunster.
Top Three to Swim Wednesday
A swim-off will be held on Wednesday for Kirkland, Adams and Eliot, now tied for first place. The final meet is postsessonal--its winner will oppose Yale.
The Kirkland House basketball team gained first place by defeating Dunster. The Deacons will be pitted against the Yale team this Saturday.
