Judges for the Boylston Prizes for Elecution announced yesterday the ten finalists in the annual contest.
The finalists are Clarence W. Hogans '54, Warren J. MacIssac '54, Burton G. Malkiel '53, Roger A. Moore '53, Ralph I. Petersberger '55, Ira Rabkin '55, Hugh J. Schwartzberg '53, Edward L. Snow '53, John H. Tucker, Jr. '54 and Pirie M. Tutchings '54.
John M. Bullitt '43 associate professor of English, Robert H. Chapman, associate professor of English, and Frederick C. Packard, Jr. '20, associate professor of Public Speaking, were the judges.
The finals, which are open to the public, will be held at 8 p.m. Wednesday, March 25, at Paine Hall. The first prize is $35, the second, $25.
About 35 students competed this year for the Boylston Prizes, which were founded in 1817.
The ten finalists must report at once to Packard at the Busch-Reisinger Museum.
