University seniors planning to enter graduate school in preparation for a college teaching career are eligible for grants, the Danforth Foundation of St. Louis announced last night. President Pusey has appointed Dr. Walter M. Whitehill '26 as liaison officer between the foundation and prospective candidates.

Whitehill said the program was open to students entering their first year of graduate school next September. He emphasized that the program will not consider financial need, and added, "A Danforth Fellow is allowed to carry other scholarship appointments, such as Fulbright or Woodrow Wilson grants."

The announcement made public these qualifications for consideration: "Evidence of superior intellectual ability in the college record, outgoing personality and concern for people, and deep religious convictions and growing religious perspectives."
