On the House

First place in the House tackle football league will be determined today when Adams plays Leverett. Both Cold Coasters and the Bunnies go into today's game with undefeated records, and this game may go far toward establishing the eventual league champion.

In yesterday's action, Eliot and Dudley split. Eliot trounced the Commuters' tackle squad 26-0. The Commuters rallied, however, to beat the Elephants 26-12 in a touch league game. Bob Minichello, Bill Corey, Dixie Shocker, and Pete Watson's fine punting sparked the Dudley win. Captain Dan Steiner and Renny Little led the Elephants.

Kirkland and Dunster each had a touchdown nullified in the tackle game which ended in a 0-0 tie.

Soccer Standoff

Two soccer games were scheduled yesterday but only one was played. Winthrop forfeited to Lowell. In the other, Kirkland and Dunster played to a 1-1 standoff. The game--which went to two overtimes--was marked by strong defensive playing by both teams. Dunster goalie Ken Rose and Kirkland goalie Al Gottschalk both stopped offensive challenges many times. Bob Walser kicked the Funster goal; Kirkland scored on a penalty kick booted by Dick Armstrong.
