Squash Tourney Play Still in First Round

First-round play in the University Squash Tournament is still in progress; only 15 of the 65 matches have been completed due to mid-term examinations.

Competition is keen for the Foster Trophy that will go to the champion, and several top-flight squash players have entered the tournament. First-seeded Charlie Ufford is the present National Intercollegiate Champion and National Invitational Tourney Champion, and easily won top honors in the University Tournament last year. His most dangerous challenger is former varsity man Hugh Nawn '52, Montreal Tournament champion in 1950.

Although the first-round matches have not been exceptionally exciting, they are expected to pick up steam when the tournament reaches it climax in March.

Matches will continue throughout the next two months.
