Swimmers Down Dartmouth, 58-26

Taking first place in all but one event, the varsity swimming team sank Dartmouth 58 to 26 at the I.A.B. last Saturday.

Coach Hal Ulen said his boys "didn't look so bad" in their first meet after the Christmas layoff. In fact, Charlie Egan looked good enough to set a new Harvard pool record in the individual medley with a time of 1:37.8. The old record was 1:41.4.

Only double winner of the night was Dave Hedberg who took both the 50 and 100 yard freestyles with times of 23:4 and 52:0 respectively. John MaeNamara was third in the 50 for the Crimson.

Don Mulvey, who broke a pool record at Springfield in the teams' first meet there, won the 200 yard backstroke in 2:17.4. His record time against Springfield was 2:16.2.

Ralph Zani was first in the breaststroke with team mate Ken Emerson second. Pete Dillingham won the dive event, and Marv Sandler took the 220 yard freestyle in 2.18. Harvard's 400 yard relay team won in 3:37.8.
