Wrestling captain Johnny Lee, officially mustered out of the U.S. Army, returned to the mat last Saturday to lead the Crimson varsity to an impressive 27-3 victory over Williams at Williamstown. Lee's return came in the form of a 7-0 decision victory over Hershey of Williams.
Chick Chandler at 167 and Ken Culbert at 177 scored Harvard's two pin victories. Chandler pinned Gordon of Williams in 4:58, and Culbert thumped the Ephmen's Murphy in 7:35. In the 157 pound match, Harvard's Bud Adams won the closest contest of the day, a 2-0 decision over Bill Gemill of Williams.
Other Crimson winners were Fern at 123, Hiam at 137, and Anderson in the unlimited class. Little of Williams saved his team from a shut-out defeat when he won a 7-1 decision over Harvard's Dewar in their match at 147 pounds.
Coach Bob Pickett's charges have now won four straight meets: over Boston University, Tufts, Amherst, and Williams.
