Quarterfinals of the Ames Competition ended last night with the Scott Law Club winning its argument against the Jeremiah Smith Law Club. The victory gives the Scott Club the right to enter in the semi-finals to be held in the fall of next year, the last year of Law School for the participants.
In addition to the Scott Law Club, the Cardozo Law Club, the Casner Law Club, and the fall competition. These four clubs are the survivors of competitions that started last year. Members of the clubs were chosen from intra-club competitions held last year, the first year of law School for the entrants.
Even G. Galbraith 21, and James S. Gralton 21, presented the winning argument for the Scott Club in last night's mock trial.
Announcing a unanimous decision of the Judges, the Honorable Francis J. Dottahue, Justice, Massachusetts Superior Court, praised both clubs for "excellently prepared briefs and oral arguments".
