Bermuda-bound ruggers take off from Logan International Airport today to face a week of what will probably be the toughest rugby competition in the island's history.
Oxford, entering the field for the first time, is expected to sweep all the other five entrants before it. But the Crimson should be able to hold its own against its old opponents, Yale, Dartmouth, M.I.T., and the Bermuda home teams.
Biggest fight outside of Oxford should come from Dartmouth. All its players are drawn from the varsity football squad, and John Clayton, all-Ivy League quarter-back, is captain. His team, though, has not had the fall season the Crimson has
Yale is in roughly the same position. It has fewer first-string football players, although captained by Yale's 1950 star halfback Ed Senay.
