Thirteen second-year Business School men were congratulated yesterday by Dean David on being named in the second selection of George F. Baker Scholars of the Class of 1952.

The Business School faculty chose the Scholars at its February 28 meeting; Associate Dean Teele notified the recipients before David returned from Hawaii to send out the official letters of recognition.

Those honored are: Richard F. Athey, Fred F. Berry, Jr., Woodford L. Flowers, Harry B. French, Donald W. Graham, Bradford K. Kroha, John J. Nevin, Warner F. Rankin, Jr., Starr F. Schlobohm, Harry A. Sidles, Roland L. Sundstrom, Allen R. Warrington, John R. Yarnell. None are Harvard graduates.

Fund Began in 1939

Baker scholarships were started in 1939 on the suggestion of Dean Donham to fill a "distinct need for some type of honorary scholarship." The Scholars compose the top five percent of their class--the first 21/2 percent of the class are selected at the end of the first year, the second 21/2 percent at the end of the third term. Fifteen men were picked last June.
