CAMBRIDGE, Feb. 9 (CNS)--Editors of the Harvard CRIMSON last night confirmed rumors that their first competition of the spring term will begin this Monday evening.

In a late bulletin, the staff announced that it will look for interested news and editorial writers, photographers, and business representatives.

The competitions will be open to freshmen primarily, but the editors also invite sophomores and juniors to enter.

George S. Abrams '54, in charge of the news competition, disclosed that the staff plans to institute drastic changes in this new competition, but refused to elaborate. He hinted that the new measures would be unvelled Monday night.

The CRIMSON has produced some of the most famous and most important men of the half century. Franklin D. Roosevelt '04 was a CRIMSON editor, as well as President Conant '14. The paper offers its staff not only unique opportunities to learn the newspaper business in all its facets, but gives writing experience that proves valuable in writing blue books and papers for college course.
