Dudley's high flying hockey team overwhelmed Lowell House yesterday, 6 to 1, to stay tied with Eliot for the House hockey lead. Frank Basius and George Leary each scored two for the Commuters, while Bitsy Grant contributed the only Lowell score.
In other hockey games, Eliot also beat Leverett, 3 to 2, and Adams forfeited to Dunster.
Dudley's basketball team also beat Lowell, winning 48 to 33, to take over the lead in the House 'A' Basketball League. The Commuters are one half game ahead of Lowell. High scorers of the game were Bill Brennan for Dudley and Paul Altrocchi for Lowell.
In other 'A' League contests, Leverett topped Adams, 55 to 45, Eliot bested Winthrop, 33 to 30, and Kirkland oked out a 51 to 50 win over Dunster in overtime.
Weld South wrapped up the American League championship in freshman intramural basketball by topping Thayer South, 27 to 11. In the National League, Weld North was upset, 30 to 27, by Holworthy, forcing a playoff for the championship with Stoughton.
