Crimson skiers placed fourth out of a field of nine in the Eastern Intercollegiate Ski Association's Divisional Championships at Lyndonville, Vt., this weekend.
Williams won the six-event meet with 578 points. Bowdoin and Maine, running their best races of the season, finished second and third with 559 and 556 points, respectively. With an aggregate score of 548 points, Coach Graham Taylor's team finished ahead of Norwich, Colby, Yale, and M.I.T., in that order.
Dixon Takes Fifth
In the cross country race, won on Saturday by Maine, sophomore Neil Dixon led the Crimson by placing fifth. He was followed by John Hart and Jim Lawson, who finished seventh and 12th. Captain John Houser finished 11th in the slalom, and Dwight Black placed seventh in the downhill.
Although the team did not show its best in these three events, it was in the jump that the Crimson did its poorest. With Tim Wise placing 11th, Houser 19th, Dixon 20th, and Hart, who fell on two attempts, 29th, the team finished in sixth place in this event.
