After a lapse of one year Air Forces R.O.T.C. students enrolled in the third year Air Science course will have to attend training camp for six weeks this summer, according to an order receive at R.O.T.C. headquarters.

Forty-one College men, mostly junior are affected by this announcement. The men now in Air Science 4, however, who missed camp last year, will be commissioned after graduation from college without having to attend any camp.

In addition to attending lectures, students at the camp will go through basic training, including drill and rifle firing practice. The R.O.T.C. students attend camp with cadet privileges, and draw pay for their service.

The summer camp for Harvard students will probably be at either Lackia Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas, Sampson Air Force Base, Syracuse, Air Force officials said.

Besides the Air Force, the Army and Navy R.O.T.C. programs also entail summer training. Navy regular student take six-week cruises abroad on warships during the three summers they are college. Contract students make only one six-week cruise after their junior year, while the Army cadets attend summer camp after completing their Military Science third course.

The Air Force this week also exempted men with "previous military service form active duty when the graduating R.O.T.C. students are called up this summer. No formal notification of compulsory service, however, has been give yet to any seniors.
