NSA to Form Training Plan At Convention

Group Plans Anti-Red Move; seeks 'Student Point Four'; Sophomore represents N.E.

A nation-wide leadership training program for college students, and extension of anti-communist activities will be major topics of discussion at this month's semi-annual meetings of the National Student Association executive committee.

Arnold Schuchter '55 will represent 33 New England colleges at the meeting to be held at Wayne University in Detroit December 26 to 31. Twenty-two other regional representatives will attend.

The training program will be organized on a regional basis with several clinics per semester in each region. Schuchter said Harvard's student council will probably send those it is" grooming for leadership positions."

Student Point Four

Student Mutual Assistance Program is the tile of the international project sponsored by an affiliation of students from non-communist countries, including NSA. Schuchter described it as a "sort of students point four" in which ideas for organizations are shared through publications and through student "teams" which travel to underdeveloped countries.

The NSA meeting will discuss clarification of its position in this international affiliation and its part on opposing a rival group, the International Union of Students, which is predominantly Communist.
